The only way your landlord is your friend is if you’re related to them. AND even then… there is a business relationship in the mix which can supersede all of the family ties. Sad, but true.
Your landlord may be nice, but don’t make the mistake of thinking they are your friend. At the end of the day, if you don’t pay rent or a disagreement arises, you WILL see the true business relationship take precedent.
So don’t get hung up and allow yourself to be stuck in a tenant-landlord relationship long-term. Have a game plan to transition from renter to HOMEOWNER.
